Come and See and Learn
Do you and your children desire to re-live the Bible Days? Perhaps you would like to take a trip in Noah's Ark or ride a donkey into Jerusalem?

St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Parish offers Religious Ed. Classes on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 11AM for Levels Pre-K to Level 8. Sr. Eileen Treanor PBVM, Pastoral Associate, is the Director. There are 22 Catechists who teach 10 classes. Hospitality, hot chocolate and snacks, are offered each Saturday morning before 9:15 AM.

The classes consist of Bible Study, Drama, Story-Telling, Music, Videos, Choir Practice and preparation for the Sunday Liturgy. Our theme is "Learn on Saturday" and "Live it on Sunday." Families are expected to attend Maas at St. Paul's Church - preferably the 9:15 AM Family Mass. We follow the syllabus of the archdiocese of New York. Children at the various levels receive a School Bag, Take-Home Folder, Bible, High-Lighter, Pencil, etc. and a Religion Book.

Pre-K uses materials published by Pflaum. Kindergarten to Level 7 use "Blest Are We" published by Benziger & Co. Level 8 uses "Confirmed in the Spirit" by Benziger & Co.

The children who are preparing for their First Holy Communion have a two year preparation period. Classes continue after First Holy Communion. Confirmation also has a two-year preparation period.

Families
We also have a preparation program for children and teen-agers who desire the Sacrament of Baptism. It is called "The Rite of Christian Initiation of Children" (RCIC). That is also on Saturdays.

On Mondays at 7:30 pm we have a Discussion Group for adults seeking Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation or desiring to have their marriage blest with a Religious Ceremony. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - RCIA)

Perhaps you have been away from the Church and you would like to "Come Home" but you have some questions. You are very welcome to attend the Monday Discussion Group at 7:30 PM in Sr. Eileen's office in the school.

All participants in our formation program are expected to attend our Family Mass at 9:15 am on Sundays, and become an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church Family.
