The Demon, Pride, the Counter-Church

07-04-2021Weekly Reflection

Recently in considering the Martyrs of Paris of 1873 and their hate of Christ and His Church, there was recalled the famous talk of Pope Paul VI in assessing signs of the Evil One. They are: where the denial of God becomes radical, subtle and absurd; where lies become powerful and hypocritical in the face of evident truth; where love is smothered by cold, cruel selfishness; where Christ's name is attacked with conscious, rebellious hatred, where the spirit of the Gospel is watered down and rejected where despair is affirmed as the last word.

In Rome the so-called Pride celebration included a boy disguised as a “LGBT Christ” carrying a cross blaspheming Him with the usual rainbow colors and flag. A priest commented: Here is the “new world religion” which tramples on and openly offends our roots and our faith. Another person commented If in a Catholic procession someone should burn a photo of some one of their activists it would be treated as the end of the world while when photographs of the Pope are burned no one spoke about the intolerance of the “tolerant ones and the hatred on the part of those who claim to love. The gay-pride parades in New York parading down Fifth Avenue always feature mockery and contempt of Catholicism because the Church dares disagree with a nihilist, relativist, political movement.

In the sixties and seventies the radical feminist movement promoting abortion and attacking motherhood claimed to speak for all women. They didn’t. The same thing must be said of the Pride-LGBTQ etc movement claiming to speak for all who experience same-sex attraction or gender-dysphoria. They don’t. The LGBTQ etc is a radical political movement which seeks to impose its agenda on everyone else in a manner typical of totalitarian regimes. They especially target schools and children for indoctrination. The propaganda-machine of this movement is enormous and must be opposed. Indicative of the problems we face is a letter of two parents in Austria inundated by propaganda, who feel abandoned by weak (false?) shepherds and instead are attacked: Some excerpts:

We live in Innsbruck, Austria, we are a group of Italian Catholic families…, we decided to tell…how the situation is in these parts, where the institutional Church for some time now supports the LGBTQ ideology. To give some examples: for years we have had rainbow benches in front of churches and in playgrounds, complete with a plate in support of the LGBTQ community; the pedestrian crossing is rainbow; inside and outside the churches, rainbow flags fly; on the church benches (including the cathedral) you can find various leaflets advertising diocesan pastoral events to promote gender ideology.

The flyer of this diocesan-branded initiative is found right in the cathedral and reads: "The rainbow does not stand only for the covenant between God and men (Gen 9:13), but is also an important symbol for the LGBTQ community and as such it can be seen as a sign of the variety and beauty of God's creation. As if that were not enough, our ten-year-old son, who attends a Catholic school (of the Ursulines) has been taught several times a lesson on the homosexual-transgender theme, with lots of pages to study and aggressive comments towards those who, like us , thinks differently.

But Bishop Herman Glettler …We tried to talk, to write to him: nothing, no answer. We are hard-hearted people, who "do not grasp the newness of the spirit". While the gist of what the priests here are preaching is the following: "The Church of Innsbruck is tolerant, merciful and oriented towards the future: finally a Church that understands young people, listens to them, follows them (does not direct them), accepts them as they are. Finally, after two centuries, we have understood the message of Christ ”.

All of this is destructive. They are leading us to despair, to division, to slavery, to the death of soul and body. It is not enough for them to sin. They insistently ask to be authorized by Christ to sin. For them, salvation is no longer needed: they already consider themselves saved in this way. …what can we do (besides praying) we are bombarded and exhausted Christian parents, we who, if we protest, risk losing the protection of our children?

We would like the Shepherds to come out into the open, with their faces, in the squares, as Saint Anthony of Padua did, and return to fight heresies with the strength of the Word of Christ, trusting in Him, without fear. With the Cross in one hand, and the double-edged sword in the other. This is their mission! We would like them to have the courage to give concrete homilies on what really sends us to hell today. If they end up in prison, they will have Saint Paul as a cellmate. We need holy Pastors!

In persecution, the people of God need more than ever courageous Shepherds who lead the flock ever closely. Until now, no priest (and we know many) has told us: “I help you, putting my face to it, coming to pray with you, talking to the bishop together with you”. Even the most faithful and priests full of good will are afraid and prefer to delegate everything to us lay people. But at least they would help us to pray! It is true, the gates of hell will not prevail, as many priests repeat to us with a smile and a shrug. It may seem like an uneven battle, and humanly it is. But let's not forget the story of Goliath and David: "You come to me with the sword, with the spear and with the rod. I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts ”(1 Sam 17:45). Let's not forget God's logic! Let us never forget the encouragement of Sacred Scripture: "Fight to the death for the truth, the Lord God will fight for you" (Sir 4, 28). Brave priests, we know you are there. We want to adopt you with prayer and works! You don't have to fear anything. The Lord himself said that the Spirit will reveal to them what to say and it is from the Cross that he will draw everyone to himself. A very strong hug and many prayers for you and your family from the Austrian catacombs (still without a pastor) Elena and Enrico (with four children that God wanted to give us) Innsbruck

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches the following:

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection

2360 Sexuality is ordered to the conjugal love of man and woman. In marriage the physical intimacy of the spouses becomes a sign and pledge of spiritual communion. Marriage bonds between baptized persons are sanctified by the sacrament. The Church also teaches that parents are the primary educators of their children not the State or State-sanctioned indoctrinators.

Courage and EnCourage International is an apostolate which offers support for those who experience same-sex attractions and their loved ones. Their website is couragerc.org. The Hungarian government is being attacked by other countries full of moral corruption because Hungary dares to want to protect children from LGBTQ etc. indoctrination. It points out that the right of parents to educate their children according to their religious beliefs and values is protected by Article 14 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

While the Pope has rejected gender-ideology, he just sent a glowing letter to the Jesuit Fr. James Martin for his ministry which is the promotion of LGBTQ etc which includes gender ideology and is at odds with foundational Catholic teaching. Fr. Martin does not promote Courage but LGBTQ It is not clear from his letter what the Pope is praising with respect to Fr. Martin’s ministry. The Pope has taught against gender ideology which LGBTQ promotes. The Pope’s role is, of course, guardian of Catholic teaching and doctrine via Scripture and Tradition and the teachings on homosexual activity and gender ideology are non-negotiable aspects of the natural order which is part of Catholic teaching. This calls for some clarification from the Holy Father because there is already enough confusion in the Church. He would be betraying the papal office if he was giving the nod to the LGBTQ etc agenda.

There is no doubt sectors of the Church are infiltrated with LGBTQ etc ideology in our country but this is part of a larger infidelity and heresy where clerics and laity no longer believe the Church’s doctrinal and moral teachings. As noted in last week’s bulletin this is the activity of a counter-church working in the bosom of the Catholic Church: The counter-church in fact is the metastasis of the modernist heresy, whose proponents ostensibly remain in the Church in order to remake it and conform it to the secular world. In the current situation in our country it’s the attempt to conform the Church to the canons of political-correctness, especially in the area of sexuality, marriage, gender, and abortion. In Germany it has brought large sectors of the Church, there, to de facto schism and heresy as it seeks to conform the Catholic Church to the secular world. It includes bishops, clergy, and laity much like the Arian heresy which captured almost all of the Church in the 4th century except a remnant championed by saints like St. Athanasius. The current crisis is worse than the Arian heresy but they shall not prevail. We pray the Rosary for the defeat and conversion of the counter-church. Saints Athansius, Peter, Paul, Peter Damian pray for us.
